Christmas Day

Every year growing up, my family would have 'hallway' pictures before running into the front room where all of our presents were. We have so many of them, I thought it was a great tradition to keep going in my little family. Kenna is wearing her Christmas Eve P.J.'s from Grammy and Papa

She went straight to the bike, and was so excited!

She loved going through her stocking full of goodies!

She loved all of her presents, and can't seem to stop playing with them!

Later that night, we went to mom and dad's house, where we watched Santa Claus, Christmas Vacation, and opened one last present. McKenna got some make-up, and I got some really nice shampoo and conditioner.

This year was awesome.

'Twas The Night Before Christmas

And all through the house, McKenna made sugar cookies,

even in the shape of a mickey mouse!

The ornaments were hung on the tree with care,

So many presents unloaded, I couldn't help but stare.

Christmas Vacation

I just realized that I haven't even watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. It's tradition in our family to watch it every year, and I haven't even done it! My family will be disappointed. Maybe tomorrow night while we're at Grammy and Papa's we'll all watch it. And if not, then I'll watch it after Kenna goes to bed tomorrow because I know she won't sit through it! Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know. :)

New Job!!

I went in for my interviews today, and I have a job! It's so much more laid back than Gold's, the manager is a friend of mine, AND it's not nearly as busy as Gold's (best part)! They only have enough hours for me to work once or twice a week, which is fine, especially when I start school again.
Totally stoked.

Finals Are Done!

I took my last final today, and now I'm done! I have 3 weeks off w/my beautiful daughter. I also have an interview today at 4:00 over at Desert Palms in the Daycare! It's a fabuloso day. :)

Update.... sorta

I saw my Dr. today, and he gave me some meds to help me sleep (even maybe help me lose weight), and I'm supposed to take them the same time I take the Lyrica for fibromyalgia. He also said that it should help me to wake up "refreshed". lol that's really what he said. He gave me enough for 4 weeks, and then he wants me to go back in when they're gone.
So, we'll see.

Seriously, now...

It's almost 1:30 in the morning, and I can't sleep. Last night, I didn't get to sleep until almost 3. I don't drink that much caffeine (spelling?), so I'm hoping it's not my meds. They usually knock me right out. I have an appt with my Dr. tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully I'll get this fixed. I also hope that it doesn't mean more pills. I already feel like a flippen pill popper with everything he already has me taking! Sad, I know.
Poor me.
Just kidding. I'm not feeling sorry for myself. I do feel loopy though. Maybe that's why I'm typing this, even though nobody is going to read it for hours. Hmm... maybe I need help. Ice cream and chocolate are GREAT therapists!
Well... I'll go try again to fall asleep.
*Muah*
Good night world.

Hide 'n Seek

I passed my math final today, (yay, me!) so I was very happy when Kenna and I got home. It's been snowing all day, and Kenna wanted to go outside, but we don't have the warmest attire for her. So we decided to play hide 'n seek. It was going good for about 15 minutes, and then this was her last hiding spot! After I "found" her, she said she was tired and wanted to rest. I'm guessing that's why she picked the couch! It's been a good day! :)

New Table!

I got a table from the DI, and it's brand new! Lee helped me bring it home in his truck and we put it together. I've been using a black card table that Mitsy bought for me while I was in the hospital with Max, and it was awesome of her and very helpful. The chairs were starting to loosen and fall apart, so that's when I knew it was time for a new one.

Dicken's Festival!

Not the cutest, but at least she didn't cry!

Nora performed at the Dicken's Festival, so I went with Kaysha so that the kids could get their pictures taken. We also got one with The Grinch, but it's on Kaysha's camera. I'll upload it later when she sends one to me.

NFR

Lee and I went to the National Finals Rodeo out in Vegas on Friday, and we had a blast! It was my first time going, and his 23rd, so he had to explain everything to me.

Jake Owen sang on stage before it all started, and then afterward he did a free concert.

One of the guys bucking bronco. lol

Family Fun

We split into 3 groups with all the kids and built gingerbread houses

My team had Hailey, Jarom, Kenna and Alec (Alec didn't really feel like participating though)

After, we went to the temple to see all the pretty lights

Kenna loved running around and going from tree to tree

In the Visitors Center
Taking a walk around the temple

Fun At The Park

riding the teeter-totter

pushing ray-ray on the swing!

We took the kids to the park so that Grammy and Papa could have some moments rest... even though some of the kids left early to go back. We had a lot of fun.

Family Night

adding the buttons on the gingerbread man

We had fun putting it together

Last week on family night, Kenna and I put together a gingerbread house, and then Lee came over and we strung popcorn for the Christmas tree. (that's one of his childhood traditions.) We had a lot of fun :)

Krazy Kenna

I thought these pictures were too funny not to post. It shows her personality perfectly!

What A Man :)

Kenna took this picture

Last night, Lee came to the rescue. He offered to help move mom's hutch over to my house with his truck, take down Kenna's bed, put up the twin for her, and move my computer into my bedroom. I helped, of course, but not as much as he did :)

She climbed up there herself. It was funny for about a minute, and then she got mad when I told her she couldn't do that anymore.

Blah

blah blah blah... blah blah blah blah. Blah! Blah blah blah blah, blah... and.... blah blah. blah blah blah, blahblahblah blah.
The End.

True Story.

It's Alive!

I tried my camera this morning, just for kicks, and it's working! I keep telling Kenna that she's so lucky... maybe I should stop before I scar her? Anyway, I'm very happy that it didn't get any water damage. And she's not allowed to touch it anymore... no matter how hard it is for me when she begs and cries... usually I just give in. Lee is helping me to be more firm, which I obviously need to start doing.

No More Pictures?

McKenna decided to take it upon herself this morning to give the camera a tubby... with her in it... with soapy, bubbly water. I tried to dry it as much as I could with my hair dryer, then dad suggested to let it sit for a few days without touching it to see if the water inside will dry. It was really expensive, and the next time I'll even be able to afford to get another one won't be until after Christmas when school starts up again.
So she got a bare-spanked bum, went into time-out for 10 minutes in her room, and my camera is still on the table, drying. I'm crossing my fingers that it'll work.

Bandaids=instant smiles

Kenna and I were cleaning last night so that when Lee came over we could clean our carpets. She was going to ride her skateboard to move it into her bedroom, when she step right on the edge of it (instead of the middle) and it flipped up and got her in the nose and a little on the cheek. It left a pretty big scratch and a little bruising, but right when she got the Dora bandaid put on she was happy again. So, thanks Dora for your miracle bandaids.
Who does she remind you of? Isaiah, maybe?

Kenna's Second Haircut

These pictures uploaded backwards, but oh well. The one on the bottom is showing my awesome neighbor and friend cutting Kenna's hair for free, and she gave her bangs! It looks a little wierd, (just not used to it), but still cute. The picture above is the finished product. She loves cheesing it for the camera. :)

Halloween!

Kenna and I had a lot of fun Trick-or-treating last night. She loved going up to the doors by herself and asking for the candy! She kept telling Lee and me to stay on the sidewalk so she could knock on the door. Little Miss Independent!
My family came down and we hung out, ate chile and doughnuts, listened to a c.d. that my sister Kenice made, went trick-or-treating, and played. Today we're going to Staheli Farms, and Kenna's really excited to see all the animals! I'll take more pictures and post them tonight. :)

Shark!

Kenna and I got a fish today. It's a male beta, chinese fighting fish, and has really pretty colors. It has dark blue, dark red, and a little green. I asked Kenna what his name should be, and she said Fishshark. Then she changed it to Shark. So that's his name. Cute, huh?

Rice Mickey Treats

Kenna and I decided to make rice crispy treats the other day, and they ended up turning into Mickey and Minnie w/a really big mess to clean up! It was a lot of fun!

Aut-yum Treats

She had fun doing all the hard work

using ghost and pumpkin cookie cutters for the shapes
painting an egg wash on the outside and then using orange colored

sugar for a more festive look
finally enjoying her masterpiece!

In the November issue of Family Fun, they have a page that shows you how to make Chocolate and peanut butter chip filled leaves with ready made pie crust. So Kenna and I did Halloween stuffed pie crust and they turned out pretty cute. (and yummy!)
